Samsung was rumored to be working on a 12.2-inch tablet which has been spotted online in an FCC listing. The Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2 could be the company’s largest tablet yet. There are rumors that Samsung has plans to bring a tablet with a 12.2-inch display to market early next year. The tablet was spotted passing through the FCC with model number SM-P900.
The FCC listing also reveals the design of this tablet. According to the listing, the rumored tablet will come with dimensions of 295mm (height) and 204mm (width), however the thickness is not known yet. The report also reveals a stylus port at the top of the tablet, which suggests that the rumored tablet will come with stylus support as seen in the earlier Note tablets.
We have some rumored specifications for the Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2, it is expected to come with a 12.2-inch display having a resolution of 2560x1600 pixels. A 2.3GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 800 processor is believed to power the tablet along with 3GB of RAM. The tablet is also said to have 32GB of inbuilt memory storage. We can expect an 8MP camera on the back and a 2MP front-facing camera. It might feature the latest Android 4.4 KitKat. The graphic designers can take advantage of the tablet’s big screen to create more detailed pieces of art along with the S Pen features.
According to some rumors, the Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2 is expected to launch some time after the new year, probably at CES in Las Vegas, but at this point, we cannot say anything. Samsung is not the only company expected to launch an extra-large tablet. There are rumors which claim that Apple is also working on a 13-inch iPad. Stay tuned for more updates.
