The hands-on video of Microsoft Xbox One has been put up on youtube just two weeks ahead of its launch. Yusuf Mehdi, Corporate Vice President of Marketing & Strategy and Marc Whitten, Chief Product Officer highlight a handful of XBox One features, which includes voice recognition, multitasking, instant switching and the new OneGuide.
Yusuf Mehdi says in the video,"What we want to focus on is how games and entertainment come together to create some real magical experiences for you." Those magical experiences include voice command which makes tasks simpler, start playing a game, search for your favourite TV show, change the channel, turn up the volume and much more by just asking the machine to do it for you.
The Xbox One contains a sensor which recognizes physical entities which allows the users to instantly log in to their personalized home screen by simply standing in front of the Kinect. Once the user is logged in, his/her favourite TV channels, games, movies, apps, Skype contacts and more can be pinned to the home page for easy access. The console will also feature Xbox fitness, internet explorer, skydrive and upload.
Microsoft has designed the Xbox One technology to let users switch from live TV to an HDMI-compatible cable or satellite box, simply by the sound of their voice. In additions to this, the users will receive game play invites while watching TV or a movie.
Microsoft also unveiled a complete list of partners who will be launching the console in the coming months. Those brands include ESPN, Amazon, HBO GO, Netflix, Hulu Plus, TED and many other brands. The Xbox One will be launched on 22nd November in 13 countries which include Australia, United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, Mexico, Austria, Canada, Ireland, Germany, Brazil, New Zealand, France and the United States. The launch has been delayed in some countries until 2014.
