Slated to ship on August 16, the new Lenovo Miix combines a Windows 8
tablet with a flip-style keyboard to transform it into a laptop. After being first announced back in June, the Miix is now on sale in the U.S.,
even as Microsoft gets ready to officially launch Windows 8.1 later this
year.

The camera also has software that will allow users to move their hands
in order to flip through web pages, adjust the tablet's audio and more.
The Miix's price is $599, but Lenovo does offer the option to purchase a
keyboard that can be attached to the Miix that also serves as a stand
for the tablet. The price for the keyboard is not yet available.

Lenovo’s website right now and ready to order. It’s certainly not a
budget tablet like the Nexus 7 or the iPad mini,
but it’s definitely priced competitively with other Windows 8 tablets
like it. The only question now is whether or not Lenovo can make it
stick out from the crowd
