The 2013 version of Honda CBR400 portfolio of bikes were unveiled in the year 2012, and now that these motorcycles have gone for sale in Japan, more specific details have surfaced. The CBR400 series includes three models namely, CBR400R (fully-faired), CB400F (partly faired) and CBR400X which is meant for adventure junkies. 

Engine:

These series models make use of the 399cc parallel-twin,engine which is deducted from the 500cc motor from Honda. The major difference is the shorter (56.5mm) stroke which is being employed in the CBR400 series for reducing the capacity below 400cc.

The 4-stroke, parallel-twin, water-cooled engine which uses the DOHC layout, produces a peak power of 46 PS of power at 9500 RPM and 37 Nm of torque at 7500 RPM.

Mileage:  

The CBR400 series bikes offer a fuel efficiency of 39 kmpl if the speed limit is maintained at 60kmph.

Price: 

The CBR400R will cost around INR 3.70 lakhs. 

The partially faired CB400F demands a few bucks lesser which will be around 3.50 lakh.

while the 400X is also priced at INR 3.70 lakhs.

These prices are for the standard variants of the bikes, while those which comes with the ABS option will demand INR 10,000 more from your wallet.
