"The Audi Q3 S Edition is our answer to ever-increasing demand for luxury mobility with the thrill of self-controlled driving. We are confident that the Audi Q3 S Edition will be yet another successful addition to our success story in India," Audi India Head Michael Perschke told reporters yesterday.
On Monday, they also launched online booking for its vehicles, which the company claimed as first of its kind initiative in India. Audi currently has a dealership network of 27 in the country and plans to expand it to 34 by the end of this year.
Q3 comes with six speed manual transmission, six airbags, voice activated controls.
German carmaker Audi has got 125 bookings for its new Q3 S edition sports utility vehicle which was launched yesterday. Q3 was priced at Rs 24.99 lakh (ex-showroom New Delhi).
Audi Q3 S will continue to derive its power from the same 2.0-litre diesel engine, but it has been tuned for better fuel efficiency. As against the regular Q3's 174.3bhp, the Q3 S produces 140bhp. The fuel economy too has gone better with the Q3 S, it now returns an impressive 17.71kmpl, while the regular Q3 returns 15.73kmpl. Since it's a low cost version of the Q3, it misses out on some features like Quattro four-wheel drive and automatic transmission gearbox. In spite, Audi Q3 is a front-wheel driven car and the power is transmitted to the wheels via a six-speed manual transmission.
