Videocon has launched a new Android tablet in the Indian market today, at a price of Rs.8,999. The tablet is called VT85C. According to research firm Gartner, the budget tablet category is expected to reach 182 million end-user devices by the end of this year.

Talking about the Videocon VT85C, the tablet comes with a 7-inch display (1024x600p). The tablet is powered by a 1.2Ghz Cortex A9 Dual-Core processor. It runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. It has 4GB of inbuild storage which is expandable upto 32GB via MicroSD Card along with 1GB of RAM. It has a 5MP primary camera and a VGA camera on the front. 

The tablet contains a 3000mAh battery. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, 3G and Bluetooth. The tablet also supports sharing audio or video content over Wi-Fi to your television using Miracast. The device is pre-loaded with apps like Opera Mini, Facebook, Hungama and VStore

Priced at Rs.8,999, the Videocon VT85C is now available in the retail stores across the country.
