According to a FCC Listing, Samsung has been spotted developing a new phablet which is codenamed as SM-G7102. This phablet is rumoured to have a 5.2-inch screen which is same as the Galaxy Note but there is no word about a proper official name to this device. The rumoured SM-G7102 smartphone might as well be targeted at the developing markets such as India and parts of Europe, because a report suggests that the shipment data obtained from a source shows that units were shipped from Korea to Delhi for testing and evaluation process. The SM-G7102 is expected to have a HD resolution screen with 720x1280 pixels and the listing hints at Dual SIM support and the smartphone running on Android 4.3. The processor clockspeed is listed as 2.3GHz, which we can expect to be a Quad-Core Snapdragon 800 chipset.
It has come to light that the SM-G7102 will measure 75.1x147mm but the thickness is unknown right now and it will come with connectivity options like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and 3G. No other features or images about the SM-G7102 are yet out and the company hasn't revealed anything at the upcoming smartphone, but we can expect a powerful processor, dual cameras and a way better AMOLED screen from this Android device.
After the huge success of Galaxy Grand, Samsung needs to
replace the Grand with brand new & more powerful handset. If the leaked specifications
of the Samsung SM-G7102 are true, then it seems
that this device could be the successor to the Galaxy Grand.
If the company is aiming to retail the top rank in the Indian smartphone
market, they should come up with a new quad-core device with
large HD display.
As we get more information on this device, we'll keep you updated.
