AMD announced that it is offering two new bundles for the holiday season as part of its Never Settle gaming bundle program. Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) is releasing the Radeon R9 270 graphics card today which has a starting price of $179 USD. Beginning Nov. 13, those who buy an AMD Radeon R9 Series will receive a free copy of the much-anticipated Battlefield 4. The second bundle AMD offers a free copy of Thief with every purchase of an R7 260X.
AMD is also said to extend its Never Settle Forever bundle and to include the AMD Radeon R7 260X. With the purchase of R7 260X, the users will be able to choose any 2 games among many games including Sleeping Dogs, Hitman Absolution, Dirt 3, Sniper Elite V2, Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon and an unannounced title.
AMD is positioning the R9 270 to compete with Nvidia's NVDA GTX 660, which costs approximately $189. The company is claiming a 17% performance gain in Battlefield 4 versus GTX 660, and a 15% performance gain in 3DMark’s FireStrike benchmark.
