In a slightly unorthodox arrangement, ZTE and eBay have launched the first Firefox OS-powered smartphone ZTE Open in the Indian market. The smartphone can now be grabbed from eBay.in for INR 6,990.

Applications already available on the Firefox Marketplace include eBay, Badoo, Terra, Kayak, The Weather Channel, TMZ,AOL, Wikipedia, CNNMoney, Huffington Post, Time, Facebook, Airbnb, Time Out, Twitter and SoundCloud.
