Nikon's 'smallest and lightest full-frame DSLR' yet, the D610, is now available in India. Sharing a great deal with its predecessor, the D600, the new camera is a rather modest update
Features :
The D610 features a new shutter release that allows for an uninterrupted stream of images at approximately 6 frames per second and introduces new features such as the Quiet Continuous shutter release mode for near-silent shooting.
It offers a power-up time of just 0.13 seconds and a release time lag of approximately 0.052 seconds.
It is equipped with a unique 39-point autofocus (AF) system to cater to a wide variety of shooting conditions. The Scene Recognition System utilizes a 2,016-pixel RGB sensor and the 24.3-million pixel image sensor to accurately adjust focus, exposure and white balance.
The large 3.2-inch 921K-dot LCD screen makes it easy to preview images or videos, as well as featuring an automatic brightness control that adapts seamlessly to changing lighting conditions.
It provides HD-SLR video technology for the Full HD experience.
It is compatible with over 70 premium NIKKOR AF and AF-S compatible lenses.
The D610’s built-in flash works hand-in-hand with Nikon’s renowned Creative Lighting System to bring about endless lighting possibilities.
To further enhance the speed and workflow for photographers, images and videos can be rapidly transferred to the dual SD card slots that are compatible with SDXC, UHS-1 as well as Eye-Fi cards.
Wireless capability with optional WR-1 Wireless Remote
Controller, the WR-10/WR-T10 Wireless Remote Controller and the WU-1b Wireless Mobile Adaptor allowing user to share and operate images wirelessly.
The WU-1b allows effortless transmission of images to a supported smartphone or tablet.
The D610 announcement is a bit of a surprise, because Nikon's enthusiast-targeted cameras are not normally updated annually, and the D600 only appeared last September. Indeed, given the overall modest bump in specifications and shutter-centric nature of most improvements, it's possible to see the D610 as a response to the reports of oil spots and dust on the sensor issues which plagued the launch of the D600.
Availability & Price :
The Nikon D610 is available in black color at an MRP of INR 129,950 body only and INR 157,950 with 24-85mm VR lens kit. The product shall be available from October last week onwards across India.
