Maruti Suzuki plans a new premium hatchback 'YRA', which is to be launched within two years, says report.
Maruti Suzuki might have a limited choice when it comes to the premium side of the market but all that is going to end soon.
According to a report, the carmaker is preparing a new premium small car. Codenamed YRA, this car is likely to be positioned above the Ritz and close to the Swift, although it's undecided yet whether it will be positioned above or below the hugely successful Swift.
This will not just allow Maruti Suzuki to position an alternative to other premium hatchbacks in the market, if positioned higher than Swift, it can be an option for those who want something better than it. The report suggests that the car in question, the YRA will be out some time during 2015-16.
