Maruti Suzuki India Ltd, is one such company who have thoroughly exploited the term 'Special Edition' and 'Limited Edition' in the past several months. Under the pretext of reviving falling sales, the Indian auto major has bestowed - one after the other - ridiculous sounding models upon the Indian market. The latest example being Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 Musik Edition.
The special edition Alto K10 has brought with it 10 additional features, so to speak. On the outside, there is a music inspired body decal along with the 'Alto K10' and 'Musik' badging, rear spoiler and mud flaps. On the inside, there is a JCV MP3 player with USB support and 4-inch front speakers, steering wheel cover, seat covers, floor mats and new 'Ambient Lighting'.
With the launch of the Alto-K10, MSI is
looking at strengthening its hold in the Indian compact car segment that
comprises over 70 per cent of the market.
