The new ZMR, which sports an all new look and probably an all new
engine, would soon make it to the ever-growing Indian performance bike
market and would be competing against established rivals such as the
Yamaha R15 V2.0 and Bajaj Pulsar 200NS.
The upcoming ZMR 2013 sports an all new look and some more equipment.
As these images reveal, the ZMR 2013 will come with a twin projector headlamp setup. Also, it seems like the bike sports DRLs and would become the second Indian bike in 150cc-plus segment to boast of LEDs (the first being the Apache RTR).

The suspension and
wheels, however, seem to have been carried over from the last gen model
and this means that the bike continues to come with conventional gas
charged twin rear shock absorbers, five spoke alloy wheels and disc
brake assembly at front and rear.
The
new ZMR 2013 comes with completely new body panels and looks very
unlike the current model. The new ZMR seems to have looked at the EBR
1190RS for design inspiration. Similar to the EBR′s bike, the ZMR 2013′s
fairing houses twin vertically stacked headlights and a large
flyscreen. The ZMR’s fairing also sports rather large trafficators,
which also house the DRLs. The new front fairing makes the bike look
bigger, bulkier and brawnier than before.
The similarities
between the new ZMR and the EBR 1190RS don’t end here. Even the taillamp
and the rakish rear end of the ZMR seems to have taken design cues from
the EBR 1190RS.
However,
going by the public’s reaction to the styling of the new bike, the rear
end and the front end of the new bike might not be to everyone’ s
taste. Talking about our viewpoint, we do feel that the current bike
looks a tad classier and more proportionate.
Engine
specs are yet to be revealed but we reckon that the EBR connection
would make the bike at least as powerful as the Pulsar flagship.
The new ZMR is expected to be launched early this month. Stay tuned to our website for more details of the new 2013 Hero Karizma.
