Hyundai Motors India Limited, second largest auto manufacturers and largest car exporters in the country, launched the new i10 called Grand i10 in India on the 3rd September 2013. The compact high segment hatchback received immediate fame, garnering a total of 10,000 bookings in just 20 days of launch.

Grand i10, available in both petrol and diesel engined options saw footfalls at company dealerships increase 55% on launch while over 70,000 have booked test drives to date. Highly regarded for its style, performance, comfort and safety, the Hyundai Grand i10 has resulted in Hyundai India discontinuing the 1.2 liter i10 Kappa and Automatic.

Grand i10 receives a 1.2 liter Kappa 2 petrol engine with variable valve timings while its diesel engine is a three cylinder version of 1.4 CRDi also seen in the Hyundai i20. The first in its segment to receive rear air conditioning vents, the Grand i10 is priced from INR 4.29 lakhs to INR 6.41 lakhs (ex showroom Delhi). This pricing is lower by around INR 20,000-57,000 than rival Maruti Suzuki Swift as the Grand i10 is the company offering in a bid to topple Maruti Suzuki India Limited from the helm in the Indian car market.
