Meru Cabs, a popular fleetcab service provider, has launched the Meru mobile app for iPhone and Android devices that enables instant cab bookings on the go, making the cab booking process even more convenient for customers. The Meru Cab application can be downloaded free of cost through Android Play Store and iphone App Store respectively.
Claiming to be the largest radio taxi service in the country, Meru is currently active in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Jaipur.
Before diving into the app’s salient attributes, it should be noted that the service features Emergency Alert which can be employed during a crisis. In the event that users find
themselves facing any sort of trouble, they could trigger off a buzzer
provided by the app. Following this, an SMS will be sent to their folks,
notifying them of users’ location details.
Apart from this, the application puts forth services similar to those
offered by the website. To begin with, it will be possible for users to
save home and office tabs, while the Favorite option permits hoarding
frequently visited locations. Not only does the utility allow tracking
the vehicle’s movement on the map once a cab is assigned, it also
enables calling the chauffeur right from the app.
Other services cover proffering direction details on the map,
approximate time to reach the destination, option to rate the travel
experience and more. People could also leave feedback, check details of
their bookings made in the past and opt for either the regular or ‘Plus’
cabs.
Nilesh Sangoi, CTO Meru Cabs, said in a statement: "The application
efficiently enables people to make an effective booking, track the
progress of their cabs via live mapping and incorporates ICE Alert which
is one of the 'firsts' to be introduced by Meru."
