Airtel Re 1 Entertainment store may generate billions in the days to come. Following a thumping success Bharti Airtel received with its highly publicized Rs 1 video download, the carrier has now launched an exclusive Rs 1 store for the entertainment. The users can download mobile content related to music, videos, games and photos along with browsing the internet.
"Virtual Re 1 Entertainment Store offers a wide range of exciting mobile content (including music, videos, games and photos) and Internet browsing offers all at Re 1 only," the company said in a statement.
The store is compatible with over 5,500 mobile devices including feature phones, it added.
The users after subscribing to the store can download 3,00,000 + video games, songs, photos in various languages, genres as per the features in the device. The internet browsing at Rs 1 include access to Facebook, Yahoomail, twitter and much more. The company is offering one day special customized mobile internet packs with 3 Mb of data bundled.
Airtel believes that with these services available for a buck, more users will be able to use data services. Moreover, this will also encourage first time mobile Internet users in India.
